GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

STEP 1. Mark the general proportions of the cup. Draw a line that will act as its center.
img
STEP 2. Draw two ovals for the edges of the cup and a plate.
img
STEP 3. Inside the upper oval, outline a smaller one. With smooth lines, draw the shape of the coffee cup.
img
STEP 4. Add the bottom of the cup. Draw a semicircle to show the thickness of the plate. Delineate a guideline for a handle. Add a small oval for the place where the handle and cup connect.

STEP 5. Draw the shapes of the handle and the cup bottom.

STEP 6. Outline the rear side of the handle and the coffee level.

STEP 7. Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Draw more details and a table. Erase all guidelines.
